Made a Iphone/Ipad dock for gifts out of scrap 2X4s and scrap cedar I had laying around. I got the plans from Instructables.com. They are roughly 5”x3”x1”. The plans call for a 27 degree angle to hold the devise but it looked too shallow for me. I used 17 to 18 degrees. It was simple and used some scrap wood that I may not have used otherwise. Thanks for taken a look.

I haven’t measured them, but the ones I made (slightly different design but same concept) have about the same angle on the slot… 27 does sound a bit extreme. Be careful though – before you know it, you will have all sorts of people asking for one :) I made one for the wife to use at work, and in a week I had five of her co-workers asking for one. Just finished a batch of 8 and all but one are already spoken for.

Cheers,
Brad

PS: I also glued felt in the slot to help protect the phone.

Great looking and straightforward project. Gonna have to make one for the wife. :)

Jay, this is very creative and practical. I bet you can move a lot of these.
