Ring Holder

This is a ring holder made from spalted maple and finished with EEE and Shellawax. The black spots are holes filled with black epoxy.

It is a gift for my great niece who is recovering from having a tumor removed from her brain. I thought of sending flowers but they just die in a week. I saw one like this in a stained glass shop and thought it could also be made from wood. She does like rings.

It is 3 1/4” diameter and 3 /1/2” high.

Cheers, Jim

A very nice gift… She will love it…

How big are her fingers? Looks like it will fill-up fast, depending on ring size.

COOL project!

Thoughtful gift Jim. Maybe you could make her a wooden ring too.
