wine rack in red oak

This rack was made for a friend in Door Co WI. It stands 30”tall, 20” wide and 12” deep and solid red oak. Final weight is just over 65 lbs. I got the wood several years ago from a friend that was moving and needed to “get it out”. Free and easy.

It took about 20 hours with the design part added. I do a bit of “as I go” plans and they usually flow at a reasonable pace. Getting carried off with the, what if I tried this thing, takes me off track sometimes but it comes good in the end.

The bottle holders have a 12 degrees bevel and the glass slides are 20 degrees. It will hold 20 bottles and 4 to 6 glasses.

The recipient will put a stain and finish on it to match his other furniture.

Very nice job Tim, It looks great and I am sure your friend will enjoy it for years to come.
I hope you can post pictures when your friend gets a stain and finish on it.
