Sometimes they are a little bigger…well sometimes ALOT bigger. Here is some of a curly maple log I sawed that was, yes going to be burned. It was headed to the city burn pile, until I turned it around and had them bring it to me.

With some chainsaw work I got it down to size.

This is the lumber than came out of that log. 24” wide curly maple slabs…did I say they were going to BURN it!

Don’t trash that tree, treecycle!

Well if nobody wants it I guess you could use it as firewood.

But if it getsto that point give me a call.

Some fantastic wood.

That lumber is long gone (except for a little stash). It did make some nice stuff, here is a table a guy made from another 24” wide slab.

Wow! That’s just amazing! I recycle a lot of cutoffs from work, but you make me feel inadequate :). You’ve definitely got a great thing going.

Wow that is some amazingly figured maple! It must have been very tough to plane it without tearout!

Wow – Nice save! Nothin like “free” wood. Especially when it’s that beautiful.
