I had some peartree loggs set to dry 3 years ago, thinking i would turn some tool handles from it later. I decided to experiment with making random table legs from it by making a straight cut on one side and screwing a plate on it. With the plate mounted it could slide on the table saw fence to make 4 evenly spaced table legs in random forms. The logs are cleaned roughly with a spoke shave and pre treated and then painted white. The birch table top is made out of smaller leftover pieces glued together and planed flat. I used boiled linseed oil to finish the top.

Good looking table. I like the natural legs.
