This is a little hollow form I did recently for a gift exchange. This is my first attempt at surface manipulation where I tried to carve a flowery detail around the top rim. I really like the little ghost/moon that revealed itself on the one side. The finish is semi-gloss Minwax poly buffed with tripoli and white diamond. Enjoy!

Cool! Nature gives us some great hidden treasures, and you sure found this one.

Manitoba Maple..or Box Elder as you Americans like to call it , :-) is one of my favourite woods. Sometimes the red in it is just gorrious…... Your HF looks very nice. I like the carving on the lip of the vessel.. Nice touch, really adds somethings. Nice turning.

Fantastic turning. The carving along the rim gives it the little extra. Altho, I don’t think it stand out as much as it should with that wood. The coloring in the side kinda steals the show. Great job of revealing mother natures handy work.

Keep up the fantastic work.
