I built the lowboy trailer and tried the vinegar steel wool stain so the wheels came out black so now I needed a truck to match up with it and this is what I came up with.
Blog of build here.
Built with oak and walnut and a touch a cherry.

That is a great looking rig. Can’t believe how good those wheels came out! They look they are rubber tires.

Again a daily top 3.
One off your greatest builds Bruce. Fine color accents, I also like the combination of all three.
A small suggestion: Mirrors and door handles.

Another nice one #4. The diamond plate (thx, GR8… didn’t know what they were called) is better than 22carat gold. The laminations and mix of contrasting woods are spot on (no pun intended) and of course the back wheels are a given… The wheel blog deserves a project of it own…

.. where are the mirrors???

A small suggestion: Mirrors …

The missing mirrors are probably so you can’t see the smoke in the cabin caused by a dodgy exhaust “system”... (but then again, I can’t see behind me).

Are the white cushioning blankets to protect the ashphalt from tyre marks?

The tissues were to keep the dust off the newly finished wheels, I didn’t even notice them or I would have removed.
I’m on to another project and hardly ever look back, if I did I would need to get in mirror mod for 4 or 5 projects.
