Ah yes, Mondays, my day to catch up on photos and see what the jocks are up to. Well, here they are and to tell you the truth, I’m glad to be finished with them and onto something else!!! I hate doing two things of similar shape so as there is only one pair of boots, I’m past the mundane. The next project for this mantle will be a full sized fringe jacket hanging on carved antlers which will hang beside the mantle and the antlers will actually hide the light bulb to create a special ambience to show off the fireplace mantle.
Take care guys(and gals) and thanks so much for the suggestions, resources and general support that you have provided me with.

you even put marks on the “tongue” where the laces have sat when done up?? !!!

and I’m sure these mukluks are lined with sheep’s wool.

Another extraordinary project.
I did smile at the “mundane” comment. ha!

You would make a real pair of mukluks look fake…

I think I’ll take a pair in size 10 1/2. Man, these things look real. The “leather” even looks soft and broken in. How far down did you hollow these out? You are definitely one of the most prolific carvers I’ve ever encountered. Oh, and one of the best too no doubt. You had just posted the blocks of wood with the rough drawing of what you were going to carve, then here they are. I’ve been thinking about carving some hands and have finally found the right piece of wood, in about the same amount of time you carved your glove and these mukluks.

These are REAL, aren’t they??? LOL

Just a superb and fantastic piece of work…................ you are the master !

Can’t wait to see the mantle !

ha – I just noticed that Google’s ads for this page are mukluks…. they look like they are carved pieces of art by “you know who” :D
