Marblewood Trinket Box

This marblewood box is actually a project I made and posted in the past but I was just starting to turn at the time and I left the bottom of the base way too thick. I realized this could cause splitting from wood expansion and contraction so I mounted in back in the scroll chuck for another go.

The finish is 5 coats of homemade danish oil to completely soak into the wood and bring out its color then 4 coats of gloss polyurethane to protect it.

Box measurements:
Lid on- 3 1/8” diameter 2 1/2” tall
Lid off- 3 1/8” diameter 1 3/4” tall
Inside- 2 3/8” diameter 1 3/8” deep

Thanks for viewing, Andy.

Hi Andy, nice to see the returning of the box worked out. Real nice finish on it again too.
