This box is the first time i tried an inlay of wood into wood on anything. Inside there is a picture frame i made from acrylic, it’s a magnatized frame. The sides are more pallet wood but i think it’s oak. Top is figured maple with ebony lines inlayed into it. Someone has a pic frame like this on here too but when i saw the frame my box was already in progress sorry. The rim around the maple is cherry strips i got from my cut off box. Plugs on the front and back are birch, they are there to cover a mistake. It’s put together with finger/box joints.

Very nice again Ike. I just never met a box I didn’t like.

Nice job on the inlay. How do you guys cut strips that thin and clean?

Well done! I would tend to agree that the sides are oak.
