This frame was made from a few scraps left over from the last shadowbox project I worked on… I based the design around the Greene & Greene frame that Marc Spagnuolo is doing a class on soon.

The frame wood is walnut, and the accents are ebony. I handcut all off the shaped half-laps by hand, sanded to 320 and finished with BLO and Poly.

I’ve been working on a design for a greene and greene inspired frame. I like the cloud lifts and plugs on this. I think I’ll try to make mine a little narrower on the sides and top. Good work on this, it would be a nice addition to any room.

Now this is a creative design. This is something you cannot buy at your local store (at least not where I live). I really like it.

Nice design idea and good way to use up some of the wood from the scrap pile…

Great adaptation! I see you are in SD. Are you taking the class this weekend? Not that you need to based on what i see here ;).

well Marc, I wish I could afford your classes… I would be there in a heartbeat.

I am in the Navy and am not paid enough for classes that expensive. I wonder if the Military tuition assistance would pay for it LOL :)
