Art Deco style mantle clock. Made from spalted maple and chechen. The difficult part of assembly was keeping all lof the parts aligned while the glue dried. I cheated a bit by using a few 23 gauge brad nails on the sides. The clock is a brass and glass insert with a 3.5” cut out. The cutout was done with a forstner bit.
I sanded this to 600 grit, finished with Watco neutral to pop the grain and splating. Allowed to dry for a few weeks, coated with high gloss poly and buffed on a Beale buff.
