Having been a plywood and two by four woodworker for years I thought I might try my hand at some smaller projects. After making a few bird feeders and a cutting board I decided to make a little box to keep my Masonic lapel pins and tie tacks in. I bought some leopardwood at the local wood supply place and together with a little piece of purple heart left over from the cutting board I made this box. I got the oak ornament for the cover at a convention a couple of years ago. I put a thin piece of maple behind it so it would show up against the leopardwood. The inner tray is oak. Finish is lacquer.
