Made this from a piece of mesquite my buddy brought from his ranch in central Texas. I really love working with Mesquite, the grain patterns are beautiful and i like the contrast the turquoise in the bug holes. I put a little BLO on this piece but i’m still deciding how to finish. I’m leaning toward a spray lacquer finish.

That is a beautiful bowl. I just did my first Tung Oil finished mesquite bowl and I really like the finish even though it took several days to complete the finish and final wax. I had been doing a poly finish.
