Built from New Yankee plans – mix of oak and mahoghany – great weekend project. Early American stain with wipe-on poly finish. Hung with a 45-degree cleat on the back.

I saw that show, and liked the mirror when I saw it then. Good work, very nice piece. I like the idea of using the cleat on the back. I have built a lot of mirrors over the years, and have always worried about using picture hanging wire. The cleat is a good idea, thanks for sharing it.

It looks great. I really should have never let my wife see this site. I am sure she is going to add this to my project list.

I have never seen the use of mahoghany and qtr. sawn oak used together before, it looks very nice. I also saw that show and was thinking about building one myself.

Just what I need. I’ll need to borrow the idea, and some skill. Great job!
