Thanks to Kiefer. His recent tote inspired me to make this one. This was made out of 2 spalted oak boards that were sawn 2 ways….plain-sawn and quarter-sawn. The dividers are slightly oversized in length and width so that they stay in place but can also be removed to just have a carry box. The handle has a metal truss brace attached underneath to provide added strength. The whole box is glued/pinned with 1/8” oak dowels. The handle is pinned with finish nails where it is glued. The whole thing turned out well. This will be a Christmas present for a friend. It is finished with Danish oil. Thanks for the looks and comments.

Very cool. Scary to think about Christmas presents already.

It’s more beautiful to see bottles in wooden carrier than plastic. Good work.

Jay, this is a good, solid design. The weakness is the butt jointed handle, but you have taken care of that with a metal reinforcement. I like the look of the spalted oak, and the removable dividers are a thoughtful idea. Just to add some grist to your thought mill, this what I cooked up for my carrier. It has a different solution to making the handle strong. Keep boxing and keep posting.
