Missed you all.

These boxes look great. Can you tell us what kind of wood and finish you used?

Thanks to all.
The first one, (also picture with lid canted), is lacewood and is called, “Father/Daughter Box”. My father, (86yr.) visited two summers ago and we explored, “bandsaw box” together.
From that box I made two more boxes from the remaining center: one smaller one (not shown) of the same shape with lid, went to my son. Then the third centre became this little funky thing with three wenge lids and beach rocks. It is reminisant of a geological formation on the Bay of Fundy, called, “Cape Split”.

The third was my first attempt at a more traditional jewelry box. I have a secound iteration which turned out a little better that I will post.

Thanks for the comments. It is good to be back.

Fantastic boxes. Glad you have come back to share with us. These are all pieces of art.

Keep it up.
