I cannot believe it has been a whole year since I last posted. Yikes. This picture tells the tale. I have been cleaning and sanding and chinking my log walls, running electric lines behind covers, making the walnut table, the wood wall art, the rocker , the turned art on table, a constructed bowl, a maple shaker oval box with a burl lid, and started making copper art. No wonder I’m tired and need to sit in the rocker. A friend made the spectacular afghan..it is a stunner, and i was thrilled to receive it as a gift. Hope there is something that catches your eye here and you like.

I like it all Michelle. No wonder you haven’t had time to post.

WOW! Very impressive pieces and also the the log walls! What do you use for the walls? I’ve not worked on log cabins yet. I just painted and tiled a laundry room, but used store bought supplies for a modern day construction.

Good to see you back!

Hi mmh: glad to see you are still chugging along. You really made me giggle. what did I use for the walls? LOGS, I used logs for the walls, that’s why it is oddly called a log cabin!!! HAHAHA. when I hacked my way into the wilderness 30 yrs ago, I built this cabin from logs a neighbor made. He cut 3 sides flat and left one round. This way your inside walls are easier to hang cabinetry on, etc, and much easier to stack and insulate. It made it a lot easier for grizzlymichelle to build a cabin. Take care mmh.
