Door Prize for my family reunion on Labor Day. Used Cherry, Maple, and Mahogany for the body. One handle is Red Oak and other is Cherry. Oiled with several coats of Mineral Oil. 5/16” Axle all the way through body. Three inch Copper tubing at each end for bushings. Nylon spacer at each end between handle and body, you can see it in photo #4. Rolls real smooth. Axle pushed into handles about 3 inches and epoxied. Got two more started for friends and family. Sure hope to get a home-made biscuit or two for the effort! Quite labor intensive to get surface perfectly straight. Body is 12 inches by 3 inches, handles are 5 inches each.

Looks real nice and you are entitled to a whole box of biscuits for that kind of effort .
I like the axel and bearing setup also.

Did you drill the center hole on the lathe?
