dovetails everywhere

Compound dovetails…the most frustrating thing in woodworking by orders of magnitude. Tossed a few pieces and can fairly confidently say I won’t ever do this again :-) The sides all lean in at about 30 degrees if I remember correctly. Half laps were fun and the dovetails in the curve I find interesting, I will do that again. Jewelry box that was supposed to have a tray….that’s the reason it is that tall. Was overruled by the girlfriend but I left it that tall anyway…..and yes its looks a bit out of proportion. Has small pieces on the inner lid that reference to center…it lifts out with no hinges.

interesting work, unsure I would have the patience for all the dovetails, but interesting to see nonetheless..
