This is my first attempt a knife making, something I’ve been wanting to do just haven’t got around to it. Nothing spectacular on this one, it’s all made from just stuff I had kicking around the shop collecting dust.

The blade is from an old set of tree pruning loppers that broke years ago. The handle is apple wood with a strip of purpleheart running down the middle. The handle pins are just aluminum rod, and everything is just epoxied together with a BLO finish.

Only took a couple days to throw it together and it was actually kinda fun so I think next time I will order some knife blades and make some more.

Cool knife for first attempt. Great looking apple wood. I always wanted to do the same. Inspiration may get me going.

Good use of existing resources. Always good to see what can be done with broken or unused items, rather than just throwing them out.

Cool looking knife. The handle has come out very well indeed.
