This is a keepsake box for my daughters 14th birthday.

I built one for my LOML for her birthday and my daughter fell in love with it and asked for one. This is made from the center cut out of my wife’s box.

Ambrosia maple finished with Minwax wipe on poly.
Approx. 4”x5”x1 1/2”.

It has some worm holes in the lid that I should have filled with epoxy but I just ran out of time. I put the third coat of finish on before work this morning so I could give it to her tonite.

BTW she loved it.

Thanks for looking.

I thin k the worms holes give it character that your daughter will always be proud you left in.

This is a gorgeous box and I agree with Gary about the worm holes. They do give it character and visual interest.
