Last Second Golf Bag

I’m not what you would call a golfer. My company has a tournament every year for our department in which I participate since the two choices are a) another day in the office (mostly alone) or b) a day spent outside with friends from work driving around golf carts while sipping adult beverages. Needless to say, every year, I choose b.

Day in and out the real golfers regularly putt around the aisles at work. Every year, the night before the tournament I steal three clubs and play with them the next day. This year, I decided that instead of putting them in my cart-buddy’s bag, I would make my own. Hence, the birth of the night-before, two hour build, DIY wooden golf bag. It had wheels, but they only helped it to fall over so they (much like me and the tournament) didn’t make the cut.

Hopefully you are as amused seeing this as I was making it!

One of things I’ve never seen made of wood. You’ve done great job here. Nice to see new, fresh and original ideas for project.

I love this, I totally get your position. I am the only non golfer in our office, and its unbelievable how much they play golf on “sales calls”. Now to be fair they do get a lot of work done on the course and I totally get the value of the “sales call”. This bag is priceless.

Very cool. You need to have the empty slot hold beer cans and dispense them out the bottom. This would ensure you make the cut and everyone would want you on their team. I really like the shoulder harness to carry it.

Haha! I considered the beer dispenser, but that particular course frowns on such things.
You might notice however, that the “shoulder harness” in question is actually a repurposed army issue Camelback hydration pack.

It may or may not have contained a few quarts of dispensable gin and tonic…
