Well due to a procedure I am suppose to take it easy for the next few days, so no workshop time even though I have a 5 day weekend :(. But I hate to sit still and have nothing to do.
So I went intot the shop this morning and made this within about an hour or so, a little longer due to the fact the glue is still drying.
The object is to move both rings to the same loop, so that will be my challenge tommorrow.
The plans came out of the book “Crafting Wood Logic Puzzles” Charlie Self, which I got recently from the library but plan to add to my bookshelf.

I’ll post a pic if I get it solved this weekend.

Enjoy all.

I had one of these that my grandfather made me when I was little. After seeing yours, I think I’m going to make a few of my own. If you can’t get it solved, I’m sure I can remember once I get one in my hands…

I have a similar puzzle, done in a different style, given to me by a friend…ashamed to say I haven’t solved it yet.

and next to have fammilymembers
brain working after a little dinnerparty
very funny to see 20 adults give up
on this little thing and ever after that
I have loved woodpuzzle and other gimmicks
like that

thankĀ“s for sharing and remind me of it
can always use a smile in the brain

Puzzles ‘n’ things are fabulous fun with any crowd. When they realize you made it yourself you’re the fascinating envy of everyone.

Wish more LJs would post more of these wonderful things.

BTW… don’t ever reveal to anyone the secrets of any puzzle or gadget.

Best,
Peter

I hate this puzzle. I’d like to catch the inventor and put him in prison. Never had insanity in my family until we got this thing in the house. We have however, created several new knots never before known to man…

Thanks for all the comments. If you do make one I hope you have a lot fun with it. I am already planning to make a few more. Got to spread the insanity around some how.

Gary, I got to be honest I am still tryin’ to figure out the one I made.

Gary, No I don’t think so. You need to still have two loops. I am still puzzling over it myself.
