Another wood burning project!! I gave this as a present to my sister for christmas. She kept mentioning that she didn’t have any my artwork.

This image is from a picture of the Japanese gardens in the Huntington Library, Pasadena CA.

The image is burned into birch plywood and stained with some gold leafing. The frame is an arts & craft style frame out of african mahogany.

Hello. Your work is very good! Could I make a suggestion? I would eliminate the white leaves on another one.
I have some home work for you; Please check out a intaglio printmaker named Peter Milton. You will be absolutely in awe of his work. Your work has the same feel as his earlier works. I could see you doing intaglio printmaking with your artistic skills. There is a fair amount of equipment involved, but just thought I’d share my thoughts.
I’d like to see more of your wood burning.

I love it, it is so original and creative, the craftsmanship really shows. I would like to try to attempt it but it seems very much out of my league. Thanks for sharing!
