This end grain cutting board was made from trees cut from my property. One of them yielded logs from 32 to 28 inches in diameter. I had the logs milled locally without trimming the bark. The resulting sapwood made some boards have both heartwood and sapwood. I positioned the boards on the initial glue-up with the arches in mind. After the first cut, I rolled each pair of the blocks toward each other to form the arches from the growth rings.
