Project Information

this vase consists of 18 rings cut at different angles, each ring is 3/4" thick and 1/4" wall thickness..I like zebra because it generally gives me some fantastic grain patterns..I also chose a board with some sap to give the vase some sharp contrast in color…in the body of the vase, each ring is cut at a 5 degree angle and two angles of 15 degrees and 35 degrees brings it to the neck at 90 degrees a 15 and 30 degrees finishes it off at the top..the finish is lacquer with a rub and carnauba wax …thanks for looking..comments always appreciated!

Another beauty Peter, nice match up of the grains, certainly achieved a lovely finish. Well Done again.
To get the 1/4" wall thickness do you need to turn it or does it just need sanding?
