This was my first chessboard I finished up last week. It was for a friend from the old neighborhood. It was a lot of fun and was made from Birdseye maple, Padauk and Wenge.

The playing surface was 16”x16” . The hardwood squares were a lil less than1/8” thick and glued to 1/2” ply, The frame was 2” x 5/4 Padauk with a rabbitt for the board.

It was topped off With some oil poly home brew.

Thanks,

Andrew
