GORILLAS WHATS UP DUDE !
By Scroll saw Artist Bazza.
Carved from Purple Heart. Bubinga. Peat Bog Yew. Birch. Beach and Oak.
Stands at 15 inch tall 10 inch wide and all the timbers baring the Birch backing board are one inch thick.
Finished with Tung Oil and a router key hole hanging slot.
This is my interpretation of a clip from a music video by the GORILLAZ.
I have dyed the inside of the backing board with leather dye to cast shadows, this gives it definition.
Really enjoyed developing this project and I have prepared more images of the cast to make more of the cast.
Anyway hope its amused you for a few minutes.
Thank you for checking out my new project.
Regards Barry.

500 points for depicting a great band…another 500 for doing a great job with the scroll saw and wood choices.
Excellent…

Ha Ha ! I am 56 and think this is a portrait of me at 16… Youth is so wasted on the young.

Im quite excited about where Im heading. This took about 5 hours to make and 100 hours wondering if it would work and loosing sleep figuring out how to make it. I now have a whole load of ideas to play with but it drives me mad as I only have one day a week to play in the cave.

You have really done a nice job on this. The artwork is great and the craftsmanship is wonderful.

Hi Thank you Charles. The original artwork is not mine all credit to the Band “Gorillaz” but I think I am the first to make a tribute to them like this. Glad you like it there will be more of the cast over the coming months, Regards Bazza.
