Super easy chalkboard

The wife wanted a chalkboard in the living room to fill in a very large wall that we just couldn’t figure out how to decorate. This actually did quite nicely. Unfortunately I’m required to do a different chalk picture daily for her so 30 minutes of every night is now dedicated to my newest hobby: chalk pictures for my lady.
I used four 1×6 planks of pine, stained in ebony and lightly sanded for that weathered look, and a very thin 55×60 sheet of smooth plywood to paint with that chalkboard paint. A few coats and I’m really happy with the end result.

That’s a great idea. A new picture for the wall everyday. That will keep your imagination working. You should do a blog of all the pics. I like the first two.

Looks great. Did you roll or brush the paint on?
