I was asked to build a set of bunk beds for my nephew. Only directions were Stout, twin over full size, brown stain and drawers in the steps. Having never built bunk beds before I spent more time designing than normal but am happy with the end result. Will deliver them this weekend and hope they are what they had in mind.

All pine 1×4, 2×4 and 2×6 construction. The steps are 3/4” pine plywood and drawers are 1/2”. Finish is English Chestnut with satin poly sprayed on.

As always thanks for looking and all questions, comments or critique is welcome.

Very nice work. They should love them. Great design for storage space.

This turned out great, Mark! Are the drawers all the same size, or are the lower ones progressively longer? It sure looks stout from here. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the comments. I appreciate them. Sorry for the bad photography. Hard to get good pictures in my shop of something that big.

Candy the drawers are all identical except for the bottom one. It is 3/4” shallower as I wanted to keep it off the floor or thick carpet. They are on 20” slides. Wanted to make storage under the drawers accessible from the side but their room was not big enough for a door to open.
