Pottery Barn sells this thing for $400. A couple MDF scraps (probably a little over 1 full sheet in total), 3 late nights filled with lots of mdf sawdust and we have the exact same thing for about $35. This thing is should stand the test of time, It weights over 100lbs. I dadoed all the joints and added extra layers to the base to make it very stable, even with a 2 year old on top! Our daughter loves the new playhouse and wife loves the extra storage in her room. Hopefully, I’ll learn to start these projects a little sooner. We put the final coats of paint on the dollhouse around 10pm on Christmas Eve. Left the fans on all night so that it would be ready for action.

Outstanding ! $35.oo ! what a savings. And I’m sure it will last for years to come.

I’ll bet this is much better built than the $400 one. And it will mean more also.
