Built this 1:20 scale model of a Kenworth twin trailer road train for a local transport business, who have it on display in their office. It is complete with mini-loaded pallets, and even has tarps too, ( not shown ) to cover the loaded trailers.

  • A real twin-trailer road train measures over 100ft in length, – each trailer is 45ft plus 10ft. for the A-frame on the dolly, plus another 25ft. for the reminder of the prime-mover,( Tractor ), in front of the lead trailer. and travels at round 50mph on the open road.

That sure is a great rig. Would create a lot of interest on display.
In my last comment (previous project) patient should have read patience.

Thank everyone for their compliments. Aussie Truckies, ( Truckers in your country ), seem to enjoy calling in and visiting me in person, then some weeks later return with their mates, & friends who are also truck drivers. most of my Australian Model Buyers are on their second or third, custom built Big Rig Model order from me, which I think says heaps about my work.

I sell the plans too,- one Aussie hobby woodworker wants to buy every Big Rig woodworking Plan I design over the coming years,- Interested simply message me.

  • Looking into getting some promo in several of the USA Woodworking Magazines in the New Year.

Very impresive truck, trailers. Load is pretty impressive too.
