Completed on 09-10-2007, this is an end table designed to be multi-functional. It can be used to hold books, stereo, television, VCR or anything else. One of the pair built is pictured here.
The customer will use it to hold stereo components. It will be placed on either side of their television.
Features:
Oak Wood
Adjustable shelves
Decorative Base molding
Top with 3” banded edges
¼” back with 1 ½” hole at the top and bottom
This was made for the customer that I built the Black Lacquer Bookcases for. These are made similar to the bookcases but not designed to match.
The color is a dye and wiping stain combination. The dye I used 4 parts Brown/Red Mahogany NGR dye, 1 part brown NGR dye, 2 parts thinner. This made a darker dye than I usually mix up. Normally I use about 3 times as much thinner in the mixture. I then applied a Minwax Jocobean stain. The final two coats were a pre-catalyzed lacquer.
