Mortise tool storage rack

Here’s an easy to make tools storage rack to organize mortise tools bits, bushings and sharpening cones. Storing them, jumbled together in a drawer was unhealthy for the razor sharp tips. Cast iron is easy to drill and tap with a hand drill. Used two #10-24 threads in the back of the mortiser column. Makes for a rigid mounting.

Hey Chris. I have the same mortiser. I like what you did and thank you for posting this. I am not inclined to drill into the tool but you made me think of mounting a rack on the wall right by the mortiser. Again, nice job and thanks for the post.

Good organization and handy. How do you like the tool?
