Progress update. I started carving these little guys at the beginning of the year all from the same size block of wood that is 1.5” x 1.5” x 4” tall. I am up to 21 of them so far. Here are the first 7 that have made it through the paint process.

Nice work, Mike. I like the light paint job so you can still see the wood grain. Nice details, too. Of the remaining to do, try some expressions and showing teeth. Just a few teeth, tough. Too many put a lot of teeth in when just a few works well. And with expressions, remember that if you raise an eyebrow, you also would raise the same side nostril and maybe cheek and lips. But it’s dealers choice. No rules here but what you can think of.
