Finished Hope Chest

I finally finish my nieces hope chest. I used Rockler 60# torsion hinges to keep the lid from closing when not wanted. This was my first big object with any detail that I had to finish. I would do a few things different but over all it isn’t bad.

I bought the rope trim at home depot and the center peace at rockler. I built it out of solid oak and I fihished it with Bombay Mahogany and 3 coats of polyurethane.
