All cherry. Simple pedestal and foot design allow this whole project to be built entirely from 3/4 board inch stock.

The top is five cherry boards joined with biscuits. A DIY router jig to cutout the circle. Pedestal made from three pieces joined together in a + shape with dowels. Separate feet joined with (oh the shame) pocket screws.

This piece keeps my commitment to using water based products. Shellac wash, two coats of water based dye, finish with water based polyurethane. At this time I continued to struggle with dye lifting during the final finish coats, and some mottling occurred.
