Finally finished the whole ent. center – top and bottom. African Mahogany.. simple design but it fits the space and emphasizes the wood grain. I played with the proportions in the drawing/design phase of the top to finally get the look I wanted. I’m happy with the results. Wish I was better at SketchUp! Or drawing. Finish is a ‘cherry’ stain with multiple coats of poly. The open shelves will display some glass or ceramic objects for the owner. Glass doors below allow the use of remote control for the player and cable box. Btw, tv is 42” model.

Jim, this is a gorgeous entertainment center. It not only showcases the television nicely but it also adds plenty of storage for the av components and whatever else the owner wants to put in there. You did a nice job on the design as well.

Great work! The open cubbies would be great for speakers too, if they decide to upgrade to surround sound.
