Hi,
I wanted to make a lamp for my desk and designed this cherry cobra lamp in the process. There is always some level of frustration when I set out to create a design which I have come to expect and accept.
Thanks for looking.

I like the idea of challenging your creativity ,this Cobra you built is unique and it’s totally your design, you have done well building furniture and now it looks like you are trying turning, carving . so far, I like what I see ,you’ll do well no matter what area of woodworking you tackle.

Hey, man, you’re starting to move into my territory. :-)

FABULOUS job, but it needs to be animated.

Take a look at this cobra by Rob Ives … https://robives.com/blog/snake

Ha, ha… John… I did for a moment thought of a forked tongue going in and out of his mouth but decided against it. Thank you.

That I definitely unique, a teriffic carving, and a well made lamp!
But I don’t know if I would want a cobra staring at me on my desk!

Here we go again. My computer’s OVERPROTECTED. :-(

I’m sure it has something to do with COBRA being a type of insurance.
I know it has nothing to do with the lamp. :-)

Beautifully carved, Mahdee! Is this an LED light?
John, that was a cute snake (and others) you linked.
Thank you, both, for sharing.

Hi Candy, Yes, it is a 12 volt (I think is called “disk LED”) normally used in travel trailers.
Thanks.
