Pine coffee table from scaffold plank

Pine table I made from an old scaffold plank I had. I skipped mortise and tenon this time and dowelled everything instead. It’s hard to see in the pictures but the legs are double tapered.

Is that an inlay on the top or a stained groove? Nice touch to the top. I did notice the double tapered legs …

Its a stained groove using India ink so I can get a true black stain.
