My friendly Fruit & Vegie man, Sam has been a great support and encouragement to me over the years as I’ve shown him the truck & vehicles I’ve built.

He keeps asking to buy one and I’m not into that so I decided to make him a Farm Truck as a gift.

It’s based on the Toy Farm Truck in the plans in the photos with some Peterbuilt modifications of course.

The truck is built from a mixture of Aussie hardwoods plus it has both a steering wheel with a gear level/shifter on the floor, something Sam had joked with me about.

It looks low and mean, Sam said it could either be delivering water melons to market or running moon shine.
.

The cat the swallowed the canary type of smile when I gave Sam his truck, his face lit up…
YES a boy with a new toy…...

Anyways, I had double the joy on this build; first making it and second giving it…..CAN”T BET THAT!!!!!

That is a beauty Crowie, you won’t be getting to pay for fruit and veges for sometime. The best part of giving is the smile that says it all. Well done.

Nice truck, one of your best. Its more fun to give things away than to sell them. A big difference between appreciate and want. Appreciation lasts longer.

I always like the detail in your trucks, except you made a mistake!
The steering wheel is on the wrong side!

I agree with bushmaster too.

Congratulations Peter!!!!!!! That Truck is a Beauty…...It looks like you could climb aboard and drive off. Very kind of you to give it to Sam as a Gift, his smile says it all. He will treasure it. You are a good Craftsman and more importantly a good man.

Regards,

Cliff.

That is one cool looking truck. Toss up whose shoulders the 1st. and 2nd. placed ribbon goes the… The truck or the smiley face.

Well done and a tremendous gesture.
