This is a Jarrah king size bed frame I made for myself. The two centre panels are a desert timber called Beef Wood.

Most of the Joints are mortise and tenon. The finish is Wattyl spray lacquer.

very attractive! I have some beefwood pen blanks, but it is much prettier ‘in the flat’ like you used here. Good job! Did you follow plans or just come up with the plan yourself?

Thanks. Nearly all my projects I draw up myself. But I am an avid reader and I am stealing ideas from everywhere. I am not much of a designer.

OMG what a monster! do you have hydraulic jacks under it to move it?
Thats gotta weight a ton!! next time I am in Albany I should drop by and see if I can “find” all this Jarrah lying around in the forrest.

You have got to be the envy of Wokalup everybody must know you,...and how big is that planer you have!!

Thats one impressive Shed I must say !!

Enjoy your nice bed.

Thanks Rob, my planer is a combination planer thicknesser. It’s a Fielder 410 with an electric rise and fall table.

That’s a great looking bed And I like the open panel look—makes the bed look more airy, and a little lighter on its feet!
