So this is my Wine O’clock, The top and foot as well as the little shelve an the face where the clock is set is Mahogany, the 4 sides are Cherry, the wine bottle is Oak and the wine glass is Cherry the trim is made from Oak that go’s around the top and bottom all made on the table saw.

So I started out making a wall clock and was thinking of putting a small vase with a flower in it, but then it hit me why not make a wine bottle and glass and put that on the bottom of the clock. It was my first time making a wine bottle and wine glass on the lathe they are full size, I found out the hard way that I need to get myself a chuck for the lathe – Once the bottle was done I went to a make your own wine store and had some labels made up that says ” It’s Wine O’clock somewhere “

I used Tung Oil 5 coats and 3 coats of poly. the dims are 28” tall, 10 1/2” wide and 4 3/4” in depth

Once more all wood used in the making of my wine clock is pallets taken home from work.

The pictures did not come out that good, I think that I should not have been drinking wine and taking pictures

P.S I had 10 labels made up, so I have 9 more Wine clocks to make for Christmas gifts. Before you know it, it will be Christmas.

That’s a pretty cool clock! I like how you turned the wine bottle and glass—very nice touch! Now you have something to enjoy while you’re enjoying your wine!
