This is a piece of Flamed Spalted Box Elder Burl I recently finished. it is 10”x 4” Finished with wipe-on poly then buffed.

I am intrigued by these live turnings. I always wonder what keeps them from exploding on the lathe. This is a beauty.

What keeps them from exploding on the lathe? Looks like that one required a flak jacket. Ballsy job Dude!
