My first Sinister cutting board, made w/ walnut, maple and cherry, finished with Howards butcher block conditioner. Followed sinisters directions http://lumberjocks.com/Sinister/blog/15087 It turned out a little thinner than I prefer because of excessive sanding and dialing in a new drum sander. Second board was made from wood magazine article found online, made from maple and walnut, routed finger groves.
