Base is poplar – through mortise and tenon. Finish w a shellac blocker, gel stain, and more shellac.
Gift for my mother in law.

Good looking table, Like the design but think the base is stained to dark? Just my opinion.

I love these simple designs with the small added details. Hard not to like the figuring in the top too.

Great looking coffee table! I don’t recall seeing a trestle-style one before, but I like this one! That walnut top is beautiful—I’m sure your MIL will love it!
