That is terrific Peter, love the grain pattern you have achieved. Cannot find a supplier of Ring Master’s down here in Aus. and the freight alone makes it to pricey to import. Will have to stick with the scroll saw and bowl from a board method and enjoy looking at your works. Thanks for showing.

nice projects, love the shapes and the grain. Ringmaster, I have wanted to try some projects that I have seen made on one of these lathes. I have seen an attachment for a wood lathe that I believe was produced in Australia. I thought I could just make one myself, but what I have in mind is to make an attachment to hold the cutters on my metal lathe. The compound feed allows you to cut at any angle, so should work just like the ringmaster.I bought the cutters online, just 3/16 metal lathe bits that have been ground thin on one end. will ship in a small packet so that would not be expensive. It would not be hard to make the attachment for your wood lathe, I could help you

I would love to get a ring master but they cost so much and I have a hard enough time just keeping up with pen kits and wood for the vets now.

Nice vase and I also love Canarywood too.
