Vacation chip carving

When I’m on vacation I mostly do some chip carving (old style). Before I leave home the wood is shaped and cutting can start. The only tools I need in my vacation are a smal sharpning stone and strope, eyeglasses and a knive. The mirror glass is mounted after I came home. Every year I try to do it a little better, but I know I’m making mistakes. However I’m satisfied with the result.

Thanks for watching.

Beautiful job. The scope of your talent never ceases to amaze me.

One question though. How do you get the Dutchman out of the glass. I’m sure you saw him there now and then while carving…

Thanks all

:) I’m gluing the glass after the carving work is done.

Incredible hand work! It’s even better than CNC work.

But then you’ll be trapped inside forever. Please be serious… I think you are fibbing!

Did you use your disc sander to remove the red marks?
Sorry Dutchy, you’ll now have to remove the green ones…

JoeinGA.
Dutchy’s probably asleep so I’ll proxy for him (hope you don’t mind Mr. D).

OK here it comes…

WHAT????

Dutchy,
His mum probably gave him a bad batch of nederlands zoethout. Maybe you should’ve used a wooden knife?
