I finally decided I wanted to make a nice fountain pen. So I turned this one the other night. I am pretty happy with it. I just need to burn through the blue ink and get some black as I am not a blue ink fan.

Nice job! I would like to get into turning pens, just don’t have the money to dive into it! Nice choice of wood and parts!

Your work is beautiful !
I worked for A. T. Cross Pen Co., in Lincoln, Rhode Island for almost 27 years. My role was many; hub & die maker, CAD/CAM programmer, computer graphic artist for the sales department, and many more.
Unfortunately, the company’s mfg. was moved offshore to China over the last 4 years.
I was (along with my colleagues) were severed through the TAA (Trade Adjustment Act) and I am now semi retired.
If Cross made products as beautiful as yours, perhaps they would still be here?

Beatuiful and a high end kit to boot! Trying a few higher end kits myself to see which one I would like for myself.
